Osteoarthritis is the most frequent joint disease in India, with a prevalence of up to 40%
80% of those with osteoarthritis have limitations in movement, and 25% cannot perform their major daily activities. The physical disability arising from chronic pain and loss of functional capacity reduces the quality of life and increases the risk of further morbidity.
The costs attached to joint replacement surgeries and post-procedure management are prohibitively high. Since highly effective medicinal management is not available, emphasis needs to be given to the preventive aspect of life style measures in the form of healthy diet and exercise.

Now that we know the magnitude of the task at hand, Pushti Trust recognises this as the need of the hour, and leads Project Move India Move, which is aimed at supporting affected individuals by way of healthcare solutions to support treatment of Osteoarthritis.

Donors may adopt a member of the village by contributing towards his / her treatment for a 6-month period at Rs. 10,000 per individual.

Target Villages for Project Move India Move

Coming to the next big question – where do we begin?
Staunch believers in the motto of taking baby steps in local areas, we are in the process of finalising the village where we have a patient base or where we can get logistical support on ground. It will be a semi urban village on the outskirts of Delhi.
